I developed an interest in photography the way most people get into things ... life happened.

It all started when I was 13, I met a boy named John. It was love at first sight. Naturally, I did
what any girl does who is struck by cupid's arrow. I worked out a plan to get his attention.
I went to
places he would be, took part in activities he enjoyed, and started watching
professional wrestling
. It was the beginning of a love affair that has lasted over 10 years.
Funny thing is, I cant even remember John's last name. However, I do recall the details
of every wrestling event I attended. It is because of professional wrestling I started
carrying a camera everywhere I went.

Armed with my grandfather's 35mm Pentax, I enrolled in my high school's photography
class. And that is where I met my true love... photography. I, like many before me, fell in
love with the magic of photography, in the darkroom, in the tray.

While in high school, I started my first photography job at Glamour Shots. Over a five year
period, I went from a junior photographer to a store manager. Glamour Shots gave me
a great foundation. It changed my life. It was there I met David Curtis, a very talented
Wedding & Portrait photographer. I began photographing weddings with David and haven't
looked back. While perfecting my portrait skills at Glamour Shots and with David, I
enrolled in Humber College's Creative Photography program.

I loved college and it was there I was introduced to digital photography. I was very fortunate
that I got to spend the time I did in the darkroom, because now it's all pixels, resolution,
and computers. I fell in love with this version of photography just as quickly. And,
in 2004, I graduated with honors on the Deans List and began assisting.

I eventually found my way to Que Net Media, and started working on the Home Depot account. I spent four years working there, learning how to photograph anything and everything. I never thought I would photograph things, or environments but have developed a real passion for it. I still am amazed at how much work goes into a pretty picture, and love creating them.

Currently, I am running my own Photography Business. I love being the boss.
